I have been hosting and teaching English language students and other guests for over thirty years. I used to be an Infant teacher, specialising in English, and have a B.Ed degree, a Certificate in Education and a Diploma in Language, Literacy and Learning.
I subsequently gained the C.E.L.T.A and now teach English to Speakers of Other Languages. I also have a certificate in Business English and have taught a course in Hotel English.
Among my interests are reading, writing fiction, foreign languages, walking, music, cinema and local history. I speak French and some German and Spanish.
I have two grown-up children and two grandsons. I live in an Edwardian house, more than 100 years old, close to a railway station and bus routes, parks and places of historic interest. |

I have taught English abroad at an International House language school in Italy and have experience of class teaching as well as one-to-one tuition at various levels.
I have a TEFL and CELTA qualification.
I have a language degree in French and Italian and Diploma in Youth and Community Work. I worked for many years as a community worker and now enjoy running a very small Bed & Breakfast in the town centre.
My interests include travelling, gardening, walking, cooking, cinema, theatre, politics and environmental and human rights
campaigning. |
